FROME Community College is on the lookout for new governors who can help them continue to improve their provision.
In their February newsletter the college said, “We are continuing to reshape the college in our ambition to be ‘Outstanding’ in our next Ofsted review and are now seeking new parent-governors and some associate governors (non-parents) who can offer professional skill sets to help drive this vision.
“What we will need from you is: enthusiasm, energy, time, a willingness to be open to new ideas, good communication and interpersonal skills and a skill-set you can bring to our large organisation.
“You will benefit from an exciting and thriving environment where passion and ambition are threaded through everything we do. This is an exciting time of change and a great opportunity to be part of the team that will lead Frome College to its next level.”
The governing body is responsible for contributing to discussions about the college’s targets, vision, budget, and staffing. They hold senior leaders to account by monitoring the progress of the college, and ensure staff have correct resources and support. Governors are not involved with classroom teaching.
