BELLEVUE Veterinary Clinic, in Trudoxhill near Frome, will be opening their stable doors for their first ever fun day for animal charities.
A recently-born donkey will be pride of place at the event on Saturday 12th July, running from 12.00noon to 4.00pm.
The afternoon’s activities will include meeting and petting animals at the clinic, family dog show and dog agility, pony rides, bird of prey displays, face painting, stalls and much more.
Practice owner and vet, David Francis, explains that the afternoon will be aimed at encouraging people of all ages to see the animals and have fun, whilst raising much-needed money for two charities.
The causes in mind include ‘The Cinnamon Trust’, the only charity nationally dedicated to helping the elderly continue enjoying the company of their pets during latter years, and ‘SPANA’, an international animal welfare charity for working animals.
Raising funds on the day as well as awareness for future support will be the legacy of what otherwise is hoped to be a good time in the country, with animals. Also don’t forget to bring your dogs to test their agility!
