Frome Selwood Bowling Club are taking part in the Bowls England Bowls Big Weekend 2021 by holding an open day at their green at Butts Hill on Saturday 29th May between 11am and 4pm.
Are you looking for a new pastime? Have you ever watched bowls on the television? Have you thought you would like to play?
The club says, “The day will give the people of Frome the opportunity to try their hand at and experience the game of Lawn Bowls in a friendly and social environment. The day is open to both men and women of all ages and ability who would like to see if the game is for them.
“All participants need to bring along is a pair of flat soled shoes, everything else including tea and coffee and helpful advice will be on hand. So, what are the benefits? • Good company • Competitive or social activity • Suitable for all age groups • Forge new friendships.
