
Work has now begun on the construction of the three new Pay & Play tennis courts to be situated in the Mary Baily playing field.
This joint venture between Frome Town Council and Frome Selwood Tennis Club is scheduled for completion in the spring.
“We are delighted that work is now under way to build the courts and are very grateful to all those organisations and individuals that have made this project possible,’ said John Price, chair of the tennis club.
“Tennis is a sport that can be played by all ages and all levels of competency. It is sociable, fun and great for fitness. We are hoping that these new courts will encourage tennis take up and look forward to the courts’ completion.”
