A busy week for Frome Selwood at home started on Tuesday 10th May with the Ladies entertaining Bloomfield to a two triples which went Bloomfield’s way on both rinks.
On Wednesday a mixed friendly against Warminster resulted in a win for Selwood on two rinks, the overall score being 81:69. The best rink being G Atkinson, V Ridgard, P Simenton and M Geake 27:13.
A four triples friendly against Mere on Thursday saw Selwood scrape home 66:63, the best rink being K. Matthews, G Atkinson and B. Reed 21:13.
On Friday the local derby versus Frome Park resulted in a win for Park on 3 rinks with an overall score of 59:87. Selwood’s only winning rink was T. Joyce, M. Ridgard, P. Simenton and S. Chant with 26:15.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon Somerset Patrons visited with 5 rinks which resulted in a narrow win for Selwood 89:85. An enjoyable game was followed by a 2 course meal before the visitors left to travel to all parts of Somerset.
