Frome folk singer Cara Dillon has been left ‘really, really shocked’ after being shot in the face by a BB gun in the town last night.
The award-winning singer says she was shot multiple times by someone from a passing vehicle.
“Walking through #Frome tonight I was shot in the face by a BB gun multiple times by someone from a passing vehicle,” she said in a post on her X social media platform. “I’m ok but really, really shocked, the police have been great. Be aware x.”

Messages of support have been pouring from fans on her
X feed.
One said, “Hoping the culprits are caught and dealt with appropriately. Must have been very frightening.”

Cara, who lives in Frome, begins her latest UK tour next Friday in Dartmouth and will be appearing at the Frome Festival with her ‘Coming Home’ show on 6th July.
