HAYESDOWN First School pupils and staff have said a fond farewell to Carol Richards after 44 years of working at the school.
“Carol, who has worked at Hayesdown school since 1977, started her working career as a school cleaner and later became a well- loved lunch time supervisor,” said the school. “From 1979 – 2009 Carol was the caretaker and a cleaner at the school but has always enjoyed her role as an LTSA the most.
“Carol will be missed greatly by the children and the staff at Hayesdown and she is wished a fabulous and happy retirement.”
Carol said, “Being with the children on a daily basis has kept me young at heart. I will miss the children, staff and the school, but now I will enjoy spending my time with my husband and family.”
