Charity Shop Disco is launching at The Wheatsheaves on Friday 19th August.
An evening combining a charity shop treasure hunt and dancing your socks off to support the Blue Cross charity shop in Westway.
Andy Jacobs from XXX said, “The Wildrobot and Beatsheaves team, Lionel Richtea and Sam Bhok brainstormed this wonderful idea and came up with lots of silly shenanigans. So, on the night there will be Ghetto Blaster Tape Deck Battles, where Sam and Lionel will be attempting to go head to head with tape cassettes and there will be a pop-up charity shop hosted by Tim from Blue Cross. You can pick some of the songs by reaching in our ‘lucky dip selector basket’. There will also be an attempt to DJ all night with charity shop found songs.
“So head off to all your favourite charity shops for some new glad rags – as the fancy dress theme is of course charity shop chic. In the window of Blue Cross, you’ll see our window display complete with Mary Berry ecstatic about the prospect of Moth Ball Mayhem! Hurray Charity Shop Disco is go!”
The disco is from 9pm-2am. Entry before 11pm £3.49 and after £4.99. Last entry is midnight.
