Kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend on Thursday 24th May, The Future Dub Project will be appearing at 23 Bath St.
The venue states, “The band was formed by combining classic Dub elements with a wide variety of underground UK dance genres. You can expect future Dub rhythms from this top skanking, Brass fired, super-band!
“The 4-piece Brighton band put on exhilarating live performances, coupled with incredible remixes. Tickets are £5 adv (14+ accompanied welcome); 8pm-12am.
“On Friday 25th May, The Cureheads are set to perform in celebration of their 28th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of one of the UK’s biggest musical exports, The Cure! The Cureheads have been the original tribute band to The Cure since 1990 and since then, they have strived to re-create the sound, the image and the atmosphere of a 1980s live concert with The Cure. The tribute band have played all over the world and now they’re landing in Frome! Tickets £10 adv 18+ 9pm-2.30am.
“On Saturday 26th May, Deborah Rose will be giving families an exciting and intimate, live performance at Groove Tots in The Loft Bar! Singer-songwriter Deborah Rose has a stunningly rare and timeless voice, she performs a wide range of Celtic music, classics and her own self-penned songs. Deborah will also perform a collection of children’s poems by pre-Raphaelite writer Christina Rossetti, who once lived and ran a girls’ school in Frome. All ages welcome £1 child £5 adult £8 family 3pm-4pm.
“On Tuesday 29th May, Frome Pub Choir is set to host their first event at 23 Bath St. Frome Pub Choir say ‘it doesn’t matter how well you sing, Frome Pub Choir is for everyone who has that undeniable compulsion to sing out and sing loud! “On Thursday 31st May, Swing Time Frome head back to 23 Bath St for their monthly Swing Dance evening featuring live swing band Alexandra’s Washboard Band. No booking, experience or partner necessary. Kicking off with a beginners’ class in Lindy Hop then straight to the dance floor for social dancing with live music from the band and a DJ. £5 entry 14+ Accompanied welcome 7.30pm-10.30pm.
“On Friday 8th June, Lost In Vagueness the infamous party that, Michael Eavis says, re-invigorate Glastonbury Festival! Glastonbury may be taking an off year, but never fear because it’s here, a night to celebrate, re-live and rejoice in a world that was Lost Vagueness.
