FROME Town Council is giving away furniture from its old offices for free as it prepares to move into the new town hall.
When the council moves later this month it will be donating extra furniture to local businesses or charities that want it.
The furniture will be available to collect on 16th and 17th February 2017 from 5 Palmer Street.
Paul Wynne, town clerk explains, “We are making this furniture available for any small businesses, charities or community groups that are in need but perhaps don’t have the budget to buy everything.
“We need people to come in to the offices between the 8th and 10th February to earmark what they want so we can put things aside.
“We can label things up so the movers won’t touch them and community groups can come in and collect what they have reserved on 16th and 17th February. All we ask is a voluntary small monetary donation that will be given to Fair Frome.
“Regrettably we cannot deliver any furniture – so any interested parties must be able to collect it.”
