With brochures now in wide circulation and ticket sales reaching records, the Frome Festival has added a further five events to the programme.

The highly regarded Frome Drama Club is presenting Peter Shaffer’s funny and touching one act play “A Private Ear” at the Steiner Academy on the 6th, 7th 8th and 9th July at 8.45.
An Afternoon Organ Recital will be performed by Phillip Pearce at St. John’s Church on Saturday 9th July at 3pm, featuring popular classics on the magnificent 32 stop Norman and Beard organ.
Amongst the many workshops available in the Frome Festival, “Read My Hips” at the Frome Dance Centre on Saturday 2nd July, offers an afternoon of dance workshops from around the globe. At 2.15pm, Raheesha presents Exotic Middle Eastern Dance; at 3.30pm, Tribal Belly Dance can be tried out, and at 4.45pm, the Hawaiian Hula. Beginners are welcome to all.
A major event scheduled in this year’s Festival is the Witham Friary History Day on Sunday 3rd July, which features walks, talks, a picnic, and open gardens, amongst other delights, running from 11 am through to 5 pm, all for a £5.00 admission fee, valid for all events.
Finally, Frome Textile Workshop will be holding a free exhibition at the Sunday school in Chapel Barton, off Catherine Hill, during the Festival. New and experienced weavers will be exhibiting and demonstrating, and there will be an opportunity for visitors to try their hand.
There will also be a display of ceramics by Christine-Ann Richards. The exhibition will be open on the weekends of the 2nd and 3rd, and 9th and 10th of July, as well as Tuesday 5th and Thursday the 7th from 10 am to 3pm. A range of handwoven items will be for sale during the Independent Market on Sunday the 3rd.
