A FROME family will run five kilometres dressed as Santas and fairies this weekend to raise money in memory of a late relative.
‘Team Gwynne’ is a group of nine ‘Book’ and ‘Perry’ family members running in memory of local man Gwynne Perry, who died in October.
The team, ranging in age from 13 to 68, is made up of Gwynne’s son, Andy Perry, his wife and children Ness, Jess and Nick; Ness’s sister Melissa Book and her children Izzy and Billy; and Ness and Melissa’s parents, Heather and Michael Messenger.
They will take part in the Dorothy House Santa and Fairy Fun Run this Sunday, 4th December.
Melissa said, “We’re really looking forward to the run. Spectators will be throwing snow and fairy dust and we will be dressed as santas or fairies; it should be a very fun atmosphere!
“We’re running in memory of my brother-in-law Andy’s dad, Gwynne Perry, who died at Dorothy House in October after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2006.
“We’re looking to raise at least £400, so any donations would be very much appreciated.”
