Patients and visitors to the Frome Health Centre now have the opportunity of viewing for themselves the artwork produced by students from Farleigh Further Education College.
This latest exhibition is part of a continuing programme of support to the arts by the Frome Medical Practice.
the practice’s senior partner Dr Tina Merry said, “‘We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer our facilities for the students from Farleigh Further Education College to exhibit their truly excellent work. I would certainly recommend that anyone visiting the centre should make sure that they have a look at the work.”
Part of the Priory Group, Farleigh Further Education College is a special residential establishment for young people with Autism Spectrum Condition. The students’ tutor for art, design and photography is Petra Fueller.
Petra said, “These young people may suffer from multiple issues that make mainstream education extremely difficult for them. At Farleigh Further Education College, we are able to provide smaller class sizes and a learning environment that is both nurturing and safe.
“Our students have just commenced on their GCSE studies and were extremely pleased to be offered the opportunity to show their original ideas.”
