THE Cheese & Grain bar will host an evening of international folk and Americana music next month to raise money for Frome’s Missing Links.
Headlining the evening will be Dusty Stray, who will play music from the alt-folk repertoire of Texan expat Jonathan Brown, which delves into universal themes of unrequited love, heartbreak, loneliness and death but (almost) always with a small dose of hope and redemption.
Support comes from Stuart Cullen with just a guitar and a handful of oddball, but catchy, country-esque folk songs.
Plus, Bristol-based singer songwriter/producer Emily Magpie, whose music is described as a bewitching collection of tracks juxtaposing an ethereal splendour with driving electronics.
All profits from this gig will be donated to Frome’s Missing Links, who campaign for better and safer walking and cycling routes in Frome and better connections to neighbouring towns and villages.
The event will be held on Thursday 7th June, doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £8.
