FAIR Frome has put out an urgent request for donations as its food bank struggles to keep up with demand.
Food bank co-ordinator Wendy Miller-Williams says, “Fair Frome is still struggling to cope with the current demand placed on the local food bank. At this time we urgently need pasta snacks, juice and squash, pasta snacks, pot noodles, rice snacks, shower-gel and shampoo. We are occasionally asked for formula milk and nappies, too, so donations of these would also be most welcome.
“There are food collection boxes in ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Frome Funeral Care at Badcox, Barnardo’s, Frome Whole Foods, Westway Co-op, and Tesco Express.
“All donations of non-perishable packet and tinned goods are very welcome, for example: instant snacks, tinned meat, tinned veg and tinned fruit, cereals, coffee, tea, rice sauces and pasta sauces.”
