WITH carnival season just around corner, it’s time for carnival royalty to be crowned and this year, Children’s Carnival Queen and Carnival Granny will be chosen by BBC news presenter, Sarah-Jane Bungay.
The carnival is one of the biggest events in the Frome calendar with thousands of people lining the streets each year to watch the procession, and you could be centre stage as Carnival Royalty.
Applications for Adult Carnival Queen and Miss Teenager are now closed; however entries will be accepted on the day. The winners will be crowned on Friday 3rd June at Frome Football Club, doors open at 7.30pm with judging at 8pm. To enter, you must be 18 or over on the 31st August 2016.
Then on Saturday 18th June, at Frome Community College from 1.15pm onwards, the Children’s Carnival Queen and Carnival Granny will be crowned. There is still time to enter for your chance to be part of carnival royalty and this year, Children’s Carnival Queen and Carnival Granny will be chosen by BBC Points West news presenter, Sarah-Jane Bungay.
