FROME College Year 13 students have launched a new exhibition at the Station Gallery in town, entitled ‘Debut’, that showcases self-initiated work by students who created the pieces alongside their studies
The exhibition started on the 24th March with a well-attended private viewing for friends and families of the students but is now open to the public.
Emma Knibbs, Head of Art at Frome College said, “Congratulations to the students on a magnificent exhibit, we are all so proud of these young people who have worked hard to prepare the work for this show.
“Special thanks go to Ben, Lisa and Tom at the Gallery at the Station for hosting and supporting this event, which has given our students such a memorable occasion to show their work to the community. It’s a beautiful space that has enhanced the work of our young artists. Thanks also to Art Team members Beth Marshall, Sue Cook and Jon Pincombe who curated this show, putting hours into making this happen.”
The exhibit will run until 7th April (open Monday-Friday at 10am-4pm, and Saturdays at 10am-3pm) at Station Approach, Frome, BA11 1RE.
The exhibition organisers added, “All the artists are very excited and would love as many people as possible to see their work – please come along and be inspired!”
