AWARDS were handed out to the winners of Frome in Bloom 2017, in a ceremony that celebrated their 40th anniversary.
Valerie Norvall from the committee said, “There were all the usual categories including many children’s classes, as well as all aspects of gardens, allotments, business premises and community areas, a total of 28 trophies!
“A lovely cake was made to mark Frome in Bloom’s 40th year, which was cut and distributed to all.
“Chairman Ray Carver thanked everybody for their hard work in making the event a success and especially Jean Hopegood, head of Selwood Academy, for allowing the use of the main hall, also her part in giving the awards and conducting an auction of some donated quality items.”
