LOCAL groups are invited to apply for up to £10,000 towards a new project that helps to make Frome a sustainable and participatory community and economy.
The People’s Grant application window is now open, and the deadline for applications is 1st June 2013.
Frome Town Council’s community projects officer Sarah Hobbs explained, “The People’s Grant is a really exciting opportunity for the town council to support a community project in Frome. The successful project will be chosen by Frome residents through a public vote so the decision is in the hands of local people.”
Alongside The People’s Grant, the Frome Town Council Community Grants Scheme has also reopened for 2013. Through this, groups can apply for small (up to £300) or large (up to £3000) grants at any point during the next financial year, and applications will be considered by the council following three deadlines: 12th April, 5th August and 2nd December 2013.
Application forms for all grants, as well as terms and conditions for applications can be found on the Frome Town Council website. To download an application form, visit www.frome-tc.gov.uk/community-grants/, or drop into the town council offices at 5 Palmer Street (BA11 1DS).
