A FROME woman has set up a Facebook page for those with MS (Multiple Sclerosis), to provide support and friendship.
Melissa Book, 38, was diagnosed with MS in 2006 and hopes that her Facebook page will provide a forum for younger people with the condition.
She said, “I have only met two people my age with MS locally. I have used the MS Centre in Warminster which is fantastic, but I’ve always felt like a ‘young one’ there! I thought it would be good to put something on Facebook to meet other people who may feel the same as me – to know you’re not alone and can understand how you feel.”
You can find the page at www.facebook.com /groups/msersfrome
Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological condition which affects 100,000 people in the UK. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40, but it can affect younger and older people too.
