Frome resident, Telche Hanley-Moyle, will talk about her experiences living in the West Bank for the last two years, on Friday 25th September.
She will offer a startling insight into the lives of the extraordinary women she met there, as well as the Palestinian women who will never be allowed back, forced into a life of exile.
Telche will also discuss the different struggles women face in Palestine including the effect that living under military occupation has on women’s daily lives, based on her experiences working in a legal aid and counselling centre for women survivors of violence in the Palestinian West Bank.
The talk, which will be followed by a Q&A session, starts at 7.30pm at St Catherine’s Church Hall. There will be refreshments. For more information, see Frome Friends of Palestine’s Facebook page under ‘Frome Friends of Palestine’. Donations accepted.
