Rainfall:
Rainfall for August = 69.5mm. No records were broken, but the 69.5mm reading was below the 17 year average for Frome in August of 81mm.
All readings were recorded from a Met/Check Cu Rain gauge i.a.w. Air Ministry Form 1122.
Temperature:
Highest D.T.T. = 26 Degrees C. recorded at 3pm on Monday 28th August.
Lowest D.T.T. = 15 Degrees C. recorded at 3pm on the 18th, 30th and 31st August.
Highest N.T.T. = 17 Degrees C. recorded in the night of Sunday 27th August.
Lowest N.T.T. = 10 Degrees C. recorded during the night of Thursday 10th August.
All temperatures were recorded from within a S.S. from two different thermometers.
It is worth noting that the average highest D.T.T. this August 2017 = 18.3 Degrees C. A drop from 2016’s average of 20.2 Degrees C.
Air pressure:
Highest Barometric Atmospheric Air Pressure = 1022mb. recorded on Thursday 10th August.
Lowest Barometric Atmospheric Air Pressure = v, recorded on the 2nd and 3rd August.
Wind speed:
Highest wind speed = 31 m.p.h. recorded on Wednesday 2nd August, Vector Direction = S.
