Would you like to try a new sport? Why not give Bowls a try?
Frome Park Bowls Club in Victoria Park are scheduling two Open Days on 30th April and 7th May from 2.00pm to 5.00pm to encourage those who have not engaged in the sport to come along and give it a try. Bowls equipment will be supplied so all that is needed is casual clothes and flat shoes. Coaching will be given by qualified club coaches.
“Bowls is a social sport at a relatively low cost which enables participants to get to know each other while playing in a team or during friendly competition,” says the club. “You can play and make new friends, keep active and enjoy. Good for your general and mental health. A sport for all ages and abilities.
“If you decide to join us the initial signing-on fee is £10 if you have not bowled before.
“If you are unable make either of those dates, please come along to have a chat to us at the club another time and we can arrange for you to have a go.”
