Local participants of this year’s Frome in Bloom event recently attended an awards ceremony to celebrate their achievements.
The event was held at Frome Town Hall, with certificates and trophies handed out by the head of Selwood Academy and the Mayor of Frome.
Among this year’s trophy winners were Pepperbox Nursery, Vallis First School, Frome College, Selwood Academy, The George Hotel, Frome Park Bowls Club, Frome Printing Company, Rosetti House, The Vine Tree, Postscript, Victoria Park and Frome Business Park, plus others.
The group, which is run by a committee of volunteers, will be celebrating a milestone anniversary next year.
“Frome in Bloom is fifty years old next year and celebrations are to be planned,” said a spokesperson for the group. “So watch this space!”
