The Annual Harvest Service at St Marys Hardington Bampfylde Church will take place on Saturday the 30th September at 4pm, postcode BA11 2RE.
This family church dates back to 12th Century and has been kept under repair by the Redundant Churches Fund.
This is one of only two services which are held at this church during the year. The services were started back in 1977 when the First Eucharist was held, after being redundant for many years, by members of the Bampfylde family and Friends of the church. They still keep this tradition going to date, but with dwindling numbers over the years.
The church is situated in the most surreal setting of being surrounded by farm buildings which are part of the Co-operative Farms, who acquired the land in 1890.
Please come along and enjoy the service – all are welcome and refreshments are served after the service..
