Frome Community Hospital received a special visit from the Vine family on Wednesday 23rd January, to commemorate Sidney George Vine who was nursed at the hospital.
Following Sidney’s death, his family raised funds for the hospital. In particular, his 13 year-old great-grandson Kieran who was sponsored to run the Frome 5k and together, the family generously donated over £1,000.
Frome Community Hospital has used the money to purchase two benches in Sidney’s memory; one is placed in the Therapy Garden and one on the hospital’s Victoria Terrace. These will benefit patients, relatives and staff.
The hospital says, “We are very grateful to Sidney’s family for their generosity.”
