In order to engage with as many people in Frome as possible the new Mayor of Frome, cllr Helen Sprawson-White, has created a Facebook profile called Frome Mayor.
This will enable her to receive first hand any issues that people in Frome would like her to know or would like done.
Cllr Sprawson-White said, “For those who would rather contact me confidentially there is a private message option. Conversely, there is a Facebook group called Frome Mayor’s contact group to allow for discussion on any topics that people find relevant.
“All entries will be monitored to be non-political and, obviously, must be non-abusive. And my views are my own and not necessarily that of Frome Town Council.”
In addition to Facebook, cllr Sprawson-White intends to hold monthly ‘Meet the Mayor’ surgeries in the town centre so that anyone can talk to her face to face. Details of the next surgery will appear in the press.
Cllr Sprawson-White concluded, “I’d urge as many people as possible to contact me via any forum, including post and telephone. I really want to know what people think the town council should be doing to make Frome a better place.”
