Frome baton twirler, Ella Marie Burch who attends Frome Community College is celebrating her success at her third National Baton Twirling Association (N.B.T.A) National Championships in Torbay, Devon during half term.
Ella aged 17, trains at Keynsham Leisure Centre with her team Enchanté, who as a team were very successful at the championships. Ella gained eight podium place trophies in all eight of her individual events and four national titles.
Also during the week, Ella competed in the 2011 England team selections and was selected in the top four places for Junior Solo 1 baton, Solo 2 baton, Super X Strut and Rhythmic Twirl. She is now working hard to secure a top three place at the selection finals in February to go forward to the Czech Republic to represent England at the European Championships 2011.
Ella would like to express her thanks and gratitude to her coach Dana Crooks who will also be joining Ella at the selection finals for the Senior Solo 1 baton. She is a very successful twirler and has represented England on a number of occasions gaining a podium place. Her experience and expertise has made Ella the twirler she is today.
