THE Mayor’s Christmas concert was full of festive spirit, as Frome residents turned up to the performance to help support local organisations across the town.
Mayor of Frome cllr Nick White organised the Christmas concert, which took place at the Merlin Theatre on Tuesday 20th of December.
The concert saw Frome Town Youth Band and the Jenny Peplow Choir entertain crowds with a selection of popular Christmas songs and carols.
Cllr Nick White said, “It’s great to see people turn up to help support organisations throughout the town.
“Money raised from the concert will go towards Frome Town Youth Band, the day centre and Frome Carnival.
“The evening was fantastic, the band and choir really got everyone in the festive spirit. There were communal carols as well, it was great to see so many people singing.
“It could have been better attended, but I think it clashed with a few other events on the night. Still, it’s great that the people who turned up gave so generously and decided to support the town. A great night was had by all.”
