PERFORMANCE poet Dr John Cooper Clarke will be appearing at the Cheese & Grain as part of this year’s highly anticipated Frome Festival.
The poet, who first shot to prominence in the 1970s as the original ‘people’s poet,’ joins a star-studded line-up headliners for the festival, including Blazin’ Fiddles, Military Wives, Aston Merrygold, Badly Drawn Boy and a performance from legendary 70s superstar Leo Sayer.
Since his career began, Dr John Cooper Clarke’s work has spanned cultures, audiences, art forms and continents.
Poet, movie star, rock star, TV and radio presenter, comedian, social and cultural commentator, Dr John Cooper Clarke is a man of many parts and master of them all. His rapier sharp wit and communication skills are second to none and if he flies off on a tangent, you can be sure of a hilarious and thought-provoking journey.
