Orchardleigh Golf Club’s Ladies Section have started off their new golf season with a fun match playing for the Captain v Vice-Captain’s Trophy.
The Lady Captain, Pat Jones, and her Vice-Captain, Marion Underhill, each selected a team and a nine hole stableford competition was played in dry conditions and pleasant sunshine.
There was some strong competition between the teams, but in the end it was the Vice-Captain and her team who won the trophy with a six point lead. After the match, the ladies enjoyed a much-earned baked potato lunch in the clubhouse.
