In the first round of the Denny Cup (the FA Cup of Men’s Bowls) the Clarrie men faced Nailsea, on Saturday Morning.
With two good wins at Nailsea, Clarrie’s rinks skipped by Neil Collett and Keith Bailey gained 25 shots over their opponents. The honours were shared at Clarrie, with Terry Perkins’ rink powering to a 15 shot win and Andrew Colebrooke’s four losing by 10 to Nailsea’s Debroy Gregory’s four. Clarrie play Victoria from Weston Super Mare in the second round on 16th Nov.
