MILLIE Moon hosted a charity event on Sunday 7th October to raise money to support Positive Action on Cancer.
The event, ‘Great Create’, was held at Mells Barn and was attended by 80 local crafters.
The event offered attendees the opportunity to make eight mini projects to take home, listen to two guest speakers, and there was a chance to watch a jelly roll race. The event and raffle raised £2,522.00 for PAC.
Kelly Hall, PAC fundraiser said, “This was a wonderful event to be involved with and the amount raised is fantastic. A big thank you to everyone who made the event possible and such a success. It was a lovely day and an opportunity to raise money at the same time as meeting lots of craft fans.”
PAC is currently the only organisation to offer free professional counselling to any adults or children affected or bereaved by cancer and other life threatening illnesses in BANES, Somerset and West Wilts.
