Wessex Counselling and Psychotherapy has thanked local people for their generosity after a recent music event, called Make Some Noise, raised almost £400 for the local charity’s youth counselling service.
The counselling service is for 15 to 18-year-olds living in Frome and surrounding areas. Young people often face feelings of depression, anxiety – especially around exams, loneliness, or feeling different to others – and the service offers a safe space to talk about these issues.
The special fundraising event, held on Saturday 25th March, featured a range of local bands and was MCd by Frome Mayor, Sara Butler.
Wessex Counselling and Psychotherapy say, “The Frome community certainly made some noise to raise funds and awareness for the local teenage counselling service! We would like to say a huge thank you to Sara for MCing the night, and to the bands DJ Shelasoul, The Decades, Ariel, The MellowTones, The Meltones, Ginger Sun, 23 Bath Street, Luke at Nomad, and all who supported the event and gave so generously.”
