A community project, launched in 2017, called ‘Project Play,’ has raised £4,639.11 for Comic Relief by staging a production of ‘The Vicar of Dibley’. The group has now set their sights on raising more money.
Now, Project Play is encouraging everyone to come and be part of their next exciting project.
The project offers enthusiasts a superb opportunity to be involved in a professional approach to staging a popular play which will attract a wide-ranging audience (usually a TV classic!)
On-stage roles will be chosen following an audition, but the project also invites directors, stage managers, stage crew, costumiers, assistants and basically anyone who would like to be involved in the project.
Matthew Rock, of Project Play said, “An initial information session is really the best way to present the project to anyone interested. Part of the information session also involves a read-through and the distribution of audition parts and dates.
“There is lots of information available on the Facebook Page @projplay.
“The information session in Frome takes place on Sunday 3rd June at the Merlin Theatre at 6.30pm. Any enquiries can be made by calling 079702 164 59.”
