AT St John’s School, headteacher Mrs Marsland has announced the new Year 4 house captains.
Children interested in being a house captain were asked to submit an application – written or filmed – explaining why they would be good at the role.
A spokesperson for the school says, “Those chosen to be house captains then play an important role in school throughout the year, including having meetings with the head, helping decision-making, sitting on the school council and fundraising and acting as ambassadors for the school when they have visitors.
“They have already been showing around prospective families for September 2023 at the school’s open mornings, which has resulted in some very lovely feedback. Some of the feedback included, ‘The children were so welcoming and friendly. It was clear to see they loved their school and were proud to be able to tell us all about it’.”
