A new post office is due to open next month on Caxton Road and will be the third post office to service the town.
The post office – at Spar, Unit 1 Caxton Road, Frome, BA11 1NE – will open on Tuesday 1st December and will offer customers a wide range of Post Office services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items. Customers can also take advantage of a wide range of banking services including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for customers of all the main UK banks.
It will be open seven days a week from Monday to Sunday 7am to 10pm. This will offer customers 105 hours of Post Office service a week.
Post Office area change manager, Antoinette Chitty, said, “We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to pay their bills, withdraw cash from their bank accounts and send and collect their mail at a time and place that suits them best. We know how important our services are to customers and we are confident that this brand-new Post Office will ensure that people in the Caxton Road area of Frome have easy access to our services.”
Earlier this year, the post office on Rodden Road re-opened under new management and the Portway post office was also saved from closure when a temporary new postmistress took on the facility.
