At this month’s meeting of Frome Inner Wheel the annual handover took place, when the outgoing President Pam Brewster handed over the reigns to Incoming Gill Barnes, who is bravely commencing her second time as President.
We have had an excellent year under the able hands of Pam; we have enjoyed a vast and varied social calendar with coffee mornings and afternoon teas at Pam’s home, also an art group meeting and craft workshop. The club went on outings to restaurants and a tour around Stourhead with the head gardener; not of course forgetting a memorable interclub, Christmas celebration and interesting speakers at many of the monthly meetings. The year also yielded a very large amount of money that the club has been able to donate to varied charities. Well done Pam.
We are now looking forward to another excellent year under Gill, which is starting with a lunch in August and a coach outing to view a stately home, with much more to come. We know that we are in good hands and all look forward to the coming year.
