YEAR 7 pupils from Oakfield Academy are celebrating success after winning the Foreign Language Spelling Bee.
The aim of the Spelling Bee is for Year Seven students to practise and improve their vocabulary, spellings, pronunciation and memory skills in French, German or Spanish.
The Modern Languages Department is delighted to announce that, based on their scores, the three winners in the Spanish Spelling Bee have earned their place at the Regional Finals of this year’s Foreign Languages Spelling Bee. The regionals will take place on Monday 24th April at Norton Hill School and the pupils will be accompanied by Mrs Hall.
Lidwine Hall, Head of Modern Languages said, “We would like to take this opportunity to wish our students the very best of luck. They have worked extremely hard since September 2016 to reach this level and we are delighted for them and extremely proud of their achievement.”
