Oakfield Academy’s lunchtime supervisors, Connie Warder and Sue Webb, are planning to have their heads shaved to raise funds for Dorothy House and MacMillan cancer charities.
The academy reports, “The event, which takes place on Friday 1st March at 3.05pm on the school stage, is hoping to raise valuable money for the charities. Both ladies’ families have sadly been touched by the disease, and so it is a very personal challenge for them. When asked if they were nervous, both said they would be wearing a warm hat for a while in this cold weather!
“To support their cause, links can be found on the Oakfield academy website, or by following their link on Facebook.”
