A photography exhibition marking Frome Festival’s 25th anniversary will be on display in the town from 3rd July.
The collection features images of events held over the years and enjoyed by local people. The photographs will be displayed at Cafe La Strada on Cheap Street and Projects Cafe on The Bridge.
Co-chair of Frome Festival, Lockhart Murdoch, said, “Did you appear in a production of Wizard of Oz at Frome Festival in 2014? Did you sing in the Oakfield Choir? Did you attend food feasts or outdoor events? Were you in a fashion show? Maybe you or friends or family feature in photographs from previous festivals over the last 25 years. Come along and have a look. We hope these images will bring back fond memories.
“We are especially grateful to David Chedgy and members of Frome Wessex Photographic Group who work every year to record many events and performances for the festival.
“Several other photographers have contributed and are credited in the exhibitions. Thanks also go to Nobby Clark for providing three prints of performers he has photographed at Cooper Hall and the Merlin.
“These photographs have been chosen to reflect moments of joy, fun and laughter at festival events. We are sure many will bring a smile. If you enjoy the images at Projects, please go on to Cafe La Strada to see more. And similarly, if you see Cafe La Strada first, pop down to Projects and enjoy the rest.
