Queen of the West End on hunt for rising stars

West End star Kerry Ellis is once again offering the next generation of talent the opportunity to join her on stage this autumn.

Kerry is inviting rising stars the chance to perform a song with her when she brings her Rock Anthems tour to Frome.

The show at the Memorial Theatre on Saturday 26th September will see Kerry perform the rock songs which have inspired her, from Queen to Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler to Aerosmith.

For the second time, she has teamed up with Perform Now giving budding talent the chance to share her spotlight and sing in front of a live audience.

Confident soloists must be aged between 11 and 19, live within 45 minutes of the venue, and be able to commit to the date.

Kerry is a strong supporter of young talent and regular host of online coaching, she’s delighted to offer this opportunity again, after doing so on her previous Queen of the West End tour.

She said, “I loved sharing the stage with rising stars on my Queen of the West End tour – there were some very special moments, and the standard of talent was super high. When I was asked if I would do it again on my Rock Anthems tour, it was an easy ‘yes’.”

Perform Now is a company providing performance opportunities and training to young talent. Its theatre school develops young people’s performance skills, and helps boost their confidence with access to industry professionals such as Kerry.
