A RACE night organised by Dorothy House’s Frome Friends to raise money for the charity, has been hailed a success after raising £3,880.
The event, which took place at Frome Football Club on Saturday 13th October, raised £1,878.50 with a further £1,961.82 collected from a raffle, which was drawn on the night, and another £40 from a treasure hunt.
Yvonne Brunton, Dorothy House community fundraiser said, “The Frome Friends group is inspirational and work tirelessly to raise funds for Dorothy House. Although I’m always available to support them they rarely need my assistance. It’s an absolute joy to have their support and I can’t thank them enough.”
Terry Aldous, from the Frome Friends of Dorothy House group added, “Frome Friends would like to thank everyone who has sponsored and supported us with these events.”
Dorothy House relies heavily on charitable donations and proceeds from fundraising events to be able to continue the care and support it provides to the 700 families throughout the region, which covers North and East Somerset, Bath and North and West Wiltshire.
