SCHOOLS across Frome celebrated Easter this month with their annual Easter bonnet parades and fundraising events.
Children at St. John’s CE First School designed and created Easter eggs, baskets and hats as part of an annual event. A member of staff then selected a winner and awarded them an Easter hamper.
At Vallis First School, children showed off their bonnets in a parade, signing an Easter bonnet song.
Following this, children and parents braved the wind to find papier-mâché eggs hidden in houses around the school that the children had made in class.
St. Louis Catholic Primary School’s Easter bonnet parade was attended by the town’s mayor, cllr Philip Campagna, who picked a winner and runner-up from each class.
“Well done to all the children who took the time and effort to make their Easter bonnet. All of the staff, children (and the mayor!) loved seeing your wonderful creations,” says the deputy headteacher for St. Louis Catholic School.
