The UK’s first sharing festival is in full swing and gearing up to offer even more free events, talks and workshops over the next couple of weeks.
Every Thursday SHARE on the Bridge in Frome are hosting craft activities – including a free clothes repair session on Thursday 19th November and creative Christmas gifts on Thursday 26th November.
Every Friday local energy experts are on hand to offer free impartial advice on how to cut energy costs. Other events include a free Indian cookery class, free cake baking, a surplus supper club during the Christmas Extravaganza on Friday 27th November and a creative money printing session on Saturday 28th November.
Frome’s resilience officer Anna Francis said, “There’s never been a better time to share. As resources dwindle and family budgets are cut we need to get together to share items and skills. Witnessing people connect with each other through sharing items, time, skills, music and stories has been really heart-warming.”
The shop is also developing a sharing gift card – the perfect gift for local family and friends this Christmas. For more information visit: www.sharefrome.org or call 01373 475574.
