With just over four weeks until the first Frome Window Wanderland, 23-25th February, 5.30-9pm, local residents are being urged to sign up to this free event and put their homes onto the online event map by Monday 5th February to also be included in the free printed map.
Frome Window Wanderland is a fun community event where anyone can make a lit-up display in their own window or garden for others to wander around and enjoy! The event is completely free and there are no fees to participate.
Organisers say, “We are pleased to have received sponsorship from David Wilson Homes to provide a free printed map of all participating addresses that will be available from the library, Cheese and Grain, Frome Town Hall or the Discover Frome Information Point at Black Swan Arts. To ensure your address appears on both the online and printed map, we have a sign up deadline of Monday 5th February. Over 65 homes, shops and businesses have already signed up but we would love this number to reach 150 or even more!
“The event follows the half-term break and gives a chance for families and communities to come together and make something fun and colourful together. The sky is the limit and whole neighbourhoods can get involved and share in the street party spirit that the event brings. Or you can always lend your window to someone who wants to make a display.
“See the website for ideas of displays from other events at windowwanderland.com. Making a display can be as simple as a lounge window with candles, fairy lights in the garden, a front room disco or your favourite book in the window, it is completely up to you.
“It is easy to sign up, just put your address on the online map at our page on the Window Wanderland website www.windowwander land.com/event/frome-somerset-2018/ where you can see the map and look at the galleries or a short film for display ideas. Find us on Facebook, www.bit.ly/ fromeww or twitter @windowwander.
“We would also like to thank our other sponsors, Storagebase, for supporting our school workshops and Foundations Up Construction Ltd.”
