Songs for the Memory and the Dementia Action Alliance group hosted an event earlier this month to raise awareness of the importance of singing and social inclusion for people in the local community living with dementia.
The event was held in Victoria Park on 2nd July, with The Rock Choir led by Emma Webb, who runs singing groups across Wiltshire and Somerset, entertaining the crowds.
Debby from Songs for Memory said, “A lovely afternoon was enjoyed by us all!”
Frome’s Mayor cllr Philip Campagna who attended said, “The Rock Choir really hit the high notes! The up-beat songs had all clapping, singing along and even dancing, including myself. Such talented singers wonderfully lead by Emma and the event organised by Pam and Jenny. Well done and thank you too all. Good Luck to some of the choir who will be at the Edinburgh Fringe.”
