The latest Saturday night snooker event at Chester House Social Club was won by Steve Clarkson, making him the first player to win two of these events.
He beat Dan Worsley in the final, who himself has played in several finals. The other two semi-finalists were David Henson and Paddy Buckland, who made an excellent break of 40 in the qualifying rounds.
Although several players were unable to attend, there was a good turn out. It was another enjoyable evening, which included a tasty shepherd’s pie supper, provided by Annie Scane.
The next snooker event is the summer Singles Knock Out and details will appear on the notice board and web page www.chester housesc.leaguerepublic.co.uk shortly.
These events are open to all club members who enjoy playing snooker to what ever standard.
Chester House Social Club in Christchurch Street West, Frome, welcomes snooker players of all abilities to join and make use of the four full-sized snooker tables.
The club is open week day evenings, Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday lunchtimes.
