STUDENTS at Frome College recently took part in a nationwide day of journalism for young people.
Thursday 16th March was BBC News School Report Day, and young people at Frome College had the chance to research, write, produce film and edit their own news bulletins.
The college’s Jane Davis said, “A collection of students from Year 10 formed their own bullpen and, after a quick filmed motivational message from Huw Edwards, they were off!
“Topics covered included mental health awareness in young people, the reopening of local attraction the Westway Cinema, and the prevalence of fake news in journalism and social media today.
“All students involved had a great day full of valuable experience and their news bulletins, currently available on the Frome College website, speak for themselves – you can view them there before the BBC snaps them up!”
