Mendip Ramblers and Cheddar Walking have issued an invitation ready for a bank holiday next month.
They say, “Who knows what a Bank Holiday will bring? Maybe glorious sunshine, or perhaps not, maybe shopping – or a box set on the television? There’s always a barbecue!
“But, why not go walking? It’s good for you, and free! And, it celebrates the work that the Ramblers charity does in keeping the footpaths open for all.
“Join us in Cheddar on 27th/28th/29th August for Mendip Ramblers Free Walking Festival. Four walks each day provide for a variety of walking abilities. Walks will start at 10.00am for morning and longer walks, and 1.30pm for a shorter afternoon walk. Parking at Cheddar First School, Kings of Wessex Academy and an additional signed car-park. Tea and cake at the end!
